I am going to vow to leave them alone for a while..... Those eggs are prob thinking........ "man, this woman has OCD, and what's the deal with that brite light
on us constantly????"

trial and error is the same way we all learned. It is very upsetting to have eggs that don't hatch but that makes the good hatches all that much sweeter. It is not uncommon to have bad hatches when you first start out. Just take it in stride and don't give up. we all have good and bad hatches.

They will tolerate higher humidity 10x's better than being too dry. leave the plugs out of the bator at all times unless you absolutely cannot get the humidity up in any other way---- plugging may lower the oxygen content inside the bator...

Better too wet than too dry. Now watch your humidity real closely as you have emptied the water trays and that forced air bator will go from high or ok to the sahara desert real fast! I recommend that as soon as it starts to drop replace the water in your bator's water tray--- don't let it get back down to normal to do this as it will go below normal and dry them out. The "ROLLER-COASTER EFFECT" will ensue where the humidty goes up high then plummets too low--- You'll drive yourself crazy chasing it up and down. Been there- done that!

i run the quails at about 35 % humidity if usung a hovabator.. and i have always had a 75% hatch rate on shipped eggs, which is high, and almost 100% hatch on mine..the only quails i ever lost is when the bator went over 110 degrees and cooked them....
