So ella finally starting laying. Layed two days in a row skipped a day then laid on the fourth day. But for the last two days shes been going in and out of the coop squawking like crazy. When i look in the coop while shes in there shes fluffing the hay pulling it all around her or just laying there making a noise that sounds like shes in the worst pain. And no egg. The first two were nice sized broqn eggs and the third was half brown and half white bumpy but good sized. She has plenty of food and plenty of water and calcium three times a week. What should i do how can i help her its like shes egg-stapated.

-->I'm no expert but sounds like it could be an egg bound hen. Check out info on it. Hope this helps.

Does she do this all day long? Does she walk normally when out of the nest?

It all sounds like new pullet behavior. Sometimes they make it back to the nest to lay their egg, sometimes not. Have you checked around for an egg in hidden spots or the run?

Let the chickens out thismorning and there was soft thin egg shells in the dirt. Is she ganna be alright. Im still new to the chicken sceen and ive been doing everything to the book

She probably passed a thin shelled egg or the possibly the rest of the egg that could have been causing her issue. I'm sure she will be fine. I would give her some yogurt and ACV in her water. Get the Braggs Apple Cider Vinager with Mother. Keep us posted.

That all sounds like typical new layer behavior, probably nothing to worry about.
Sometimes they yakyakyak squawk, and pace around and in and out of nests with no result.
As long as she's eating drinking pooping OK, just wait it out.

It can take up to a month or so for things to smooth out.

What exactly are you feeding and what does this mean "calcium three times a week"?

Keep it simple, good balanced feed, fresh water...
.....no need for a bunch of supplements unless you are positive about a certain problem where they might be needed.
