I have an LF Blue Cochin Rooster.

His ladies are Barred Plymouth Rocks, Light Brahmas, Lavender Orps, and an LF Blue Cochin.

Will any of these mixes to a Blue Cochin Rooster produce sex linked chicks?

My idea is that the Barred Rocks and Light Brahmas may have a chance of giving me some sex linked babies...

If not sex linked chicks... will there be a definite way to tell any of these crosses from male or female due to adolescent coloring?

I've only dipped my toe into the realm of genetics, but am very interested. Thanks in advance.

Only the barred rocks will give you sex linked chicks - solid colored pullets and barred cockerels.

Blue Cochin x Blue Cochin = 25% black, 50% blue, 25% splash Cochin

Both the lavender Orps and light Brahmas will give solid blue and black offspring.
