Question of the Day - Friday, October 10th, 2025

Nope, I think my accent can either be pretty blank or I mirror the person I'm talking to. When I was a toddler I had a THICK deep south drawly accent, then I had a standard Midwestern accent which is pretty much my default accent now, but if I'm talking to someone with a twangy Texan accent I'll find myself talking like them, and then because I grew up in a huge city where I was a whitish minority sometimes I use AAVE and that makes me sound super Texan.
 
All the time. My one triplet sister and I have a German accent. We even took 8 years of speech therapy in school because the school told my mom it was a speech impedement. Well, 8 years of speech can't fix an accent. Anyways, we sound like we are from Boston but we aren't. Born and raised in Ohio. When I was a waitress at Olive Garden, my guests would ask me all the time where I was from. I started making up stories about being in the Witness Protection Program. And still today, anytime I meet someone new, they comment
