Also, I once saw chunky milk being poured (glopped?) into a glass as a child, so this thread is borderline .

Annddd I just realized I'm eating large curd cottage cheese while writing this, so I guess my hypocrisy runs deep on milk products.

I do automatically just so there isn't anything that sinks to the bottom

No. No need. All milk from the shop is pasteurised or sterilised and homogeneous.
Only occasionally when I make a cappuccino, I blow hot steam through the milk.

It probably didn't help that my mom had the habit of buying it on sale. and freezing it. Thawed milk is...odd.

Thawed milk is odd, I agree. My grandma would freeze her raw milk and it never thawed the same. Works in baked goods though
