Question of the Day - Wednesday, August 20th, 2025

Yes, I only use it to nuke coffee from day before as the fresh is brewing, DW will use it to thaw meat.
I use mine the same way ... can't let that liquid gold go to waste!

Sidebar: I learned a neat trick I'll pass on ... if your reheated coffee is bitter, add salt. Start with (literally) just a few grains until you find the right amount, or you'll taste it. The salt neutralizes the bitterness. It's magic!

I don't want to play barista, I NEED COFFEE NOW! :lau

Yes we have a microwave. And yes we use it. Mostly for warming leftovers, but also occasionally for heating a frozen dinner recently when I've been unable to cook. GC also uses it to reheat her coffee (nobody else drinks the stuff). Oh, it's also good for quickly cooking baked potatoes and corn on de cob quickly without turning on the oven (potatoes) or heating a big pot of water (corn). I'll gladly share my techniques for those two items if anyone wants.
