ok will try to keep this short. I am letting her brood with the rest of the chickens so she is still in main coop etc. She is on day 17 (later today). The past 2 or 3 mornings she has only been getting off at dawn for about 15 min. Well then the coop is still a bit on the darker side when she comes in so she has been going to the wrong box which hasn't really been a problem since I wake up around that time and have a camera in there so first thing I do is wake up peek in and go out and move her if need be. Before this when she got off during the day she would go back to the right box no problems and she stays once I move her so I think it is more that she just can't see as well since it isn't really light in the coop at that hour.

Well tomorrow day 18 is a weekend and most times I am not awake as early as she has been getting up. on weekends it could be 1-2.5 hrs after she is up that I wake up. Should I figure out a way to lock her in tonight until I wake up and then take it down or should I block off the other 2 boxes? My problem with blocking off the other 2 is if one of the other girls need to lay then they only have hers to lay in (which hasn't been an issue but I could make it one by blocking the others). If I block hers what if she has to get up to go to the bathroom? I don't want her going in the box now. I can't really block off her nest and give her space to move around with the way it is set up. I may be able to use the baby gate I have for the chicks since that is moveable for when they are outside but there will be gaps beside it that she may push out of then she can't get back to her nest.........

ideas? and no I don't want to lock her up in there for the next few days and make her move her nest since she has been sitting so good for almost 4 weeks now since she had to wait for shipped eggs to come in.

Ultimately I agree with huntmaster. I went through this rigmarole as well, trying to net off part of the house and nesting box where my broody had her eggs. Allowing just enough space for extra food and water for her to do her business. I think she would have integrated her chicks just fine from minute one.

My broodies each have their own large dog kennel or similar cage. They have water and food in them, but they wait for me to open the doors for their morning break. Depending on how my morning goes the time I let them go can vary by more than an hour. I have not found any broody poo in the cages. If you have not made your plan yet, I think you could block her for the night.

I think it would be easier to set your alarm and go out and make sure she is on the right nest. Less work and a lot less worry on what to do.
This was going to be my other option........

ofc she decided to get off today (it was a nice day out) for a 2nd time and went back to the wrong nest........ Not sure WHY she is doing it now since she really hasn't since she first went broody, I think once at the beginning of this week and now the past couple mornings.... I was home and was able to peek in but didn't see for about 1.5 hrs after she went off so went out and moved her back.

Thank you everyone. I think all the girls laid today so no one should have to lay really early in the am (they normally only do that if they took the day before off) so THINK I am safe to block the other 2 boxes off for the am and then unblock them when I get up. But we are going out to breakfast tomorrow and I also have to go get my oil changed so will be gone a couple times for a few hours each time. Hoping she will go out early or when I am home so I don't have to worry about it when not home (or my girls are home and I can send them out to move her back to the right box). think tomorrow will be cooler than today so she may only go out once or not at all since she was going every other day for a bit when it wasn't as nice out.
