Question on day 6

Lol I would probably be the same way! Today is day 7. I plan on marking air cells. Should I use marker, pencil, or pen?

Alright another question! I traced air cells yesterday (day 7) and all look to have grown a teeny bit, even the 1 egg that I have NEVER seen veins on and also the 1 I think "quit." Is that normal or is it possible they are alive afterall? Lol!

Air cells grow because the moisture is leaving the egg. Even non fertile eggs have air cells. If you've ever seen the chart on how to tell if an egg is fresh or not by how it floats, that's all due to the air cell. The older the egg, the larger the air cell. So unfortunetly air cells are no indication of life.

Oh pooh! That's what my husband said. Lol. I'm reaching for anything to tell me they are alive. Well thank you again! I still have 4 that are looking great!

UPDATE: I believe another one is dead :( within the last few days. But I do have 3 that are moving around like crazy in there! Hopefully they can make it!

The 3 that are still alive are still moving around, doesn't seem to be as much (maybe they are bigger!) I marked air cells today (day 13) I know I should have waited till tomorrow! But I couldn't! I'm concerned that they are too small.... The room humidity has been anywhere from 38-52 the last few days, we had snow/ rain come through here Tuesday. I will post pictures if anyone can let me know what you think!

Day 13, they don't look bad to me. In my experience you see the biggest growth between day 14-18. It wouldn't hurt them to be a bit bigger, but I wouldn't stress. Are you running dry or do you have water in at the moment?
