Question on EE... age? gender? (UPDATED PICS, PG 2)

Yeah I've renamed him "Phoenix" as he looks like the leftovers of a camp fire right now...

If he makes it to adulthood he will have lived up to his name!

What's strange about his weak legs is that it just started a few days ago, he was fine until before.

Could it be growing pains? Rickets? He needs poly-vi-sol?

I'm stumped!

If he seems uncomfortable, you can give him some aspirin (you'll need to do a search on how much of hte baby aspirin (88 mg) he can have). Poly-vi-sol (without iron!!) isn't a bad idea. It definitely won't hurt anyway. Is he lethargic or anything...or just weak legged?

Just weak-legged... he's inquisitive and pooping like a fat trucker (hence eating well), but since he's sequestered in a small plastic dog crate he can't move around much, he just rests and sleeps.

I brought him in two days ago as he was limping pretty badly, that seems to be getting better now.

Endearing little fellow....

Just dunno why he stands so strangely and keeps plopping down all the time.

Will keep him warm and rested for a few more days along with some vitamins and we'll see how he does.

Wow, I hijacked my own thread

I let him out a few times a day to walk and stretch, he staggers and looses his balance a bit too much though... trips on nothing and seems to be battling jello knees, if that makes sense?

Poor little fella. I'll put him back in the coop on Sunday and see how he fares there in a sectioned-off corner with my 9-week old brahma pullet (she will be 10 weeks old then).
