Question on fan for incubator!

BTW I hooked up this contraption lastnight and I have two thermometers on the bator, one laying on the bottom and one about the height of where the tops of the eggs will be.

There is definitely more uniform temp even with the little fan, not perfect but way better than the still air readings.

Im so excited to get my new batch of eggs! They should be coming tomorrow or thursday!

I just fit a computer fan to the hovabator we are using. I took out both fans from an old pc. The small one is the cooling fan for the cpu. The larger one is the cooling fan for the power supply. I used the larger fan. The holes in the top of the 1602n model fit this fan perfectly. Then I cut down the tube from a round pen for spacers about 3/4" long. I ran the wires from the fan through the center hole in the bator top and used small plastic wire zip ties to hold the fan to the top with the fan blowing down. At first I used a 12 volt charger for a rc car. The fan was running really fast. Too fast I thought so I found a 9 volt one and used it. The fan is nice and quiet now and seems to put out enough air to stir things up in there. I did notice that the humidity increased with the fan on.

Ya I think my fan is a bit too small. I might go exchange it tonight for a bigger one. I gave my old computer away ... I would of had one to use!!! that darn generosity haha
