Question on feeding new chick??? Please read!

You give baby chicks, chick starter feed.

The hen will eat the same thing. It won't hurt her.

You never give chicks layer ration. It has too much calcium.

But the chick feed will not hurt the hen.

Thanks for all the comments everyone. I have med. starter in a chick friendly feeder and little one is nibbling on it.
