question on how to interperet city code

It was my fault for not posting the entire code, I did not receive a response to my email which I kind of expected due to the holidays. Hopefully I will get a response by Tuesday, I guess the only thing it will change by knowing one way or another is how careful I am about people knowing the size of my flock. My back yard is pretty private and the neighbor to the west of me has chickens as well (smaller lot and I believe he has 4-6 birds) a field to the north and the east is almost completely wall off (and hes never home being a fire fighter). So really I don't foresee any issues if I have to go the rebel route, just disappointing that a city which prides itself on being agricultural would have such limiting code.


Does anyone have a link to standards publish by the USDA for square footage for chickens? something I could use to show the city council their equation is overly stringent and could use some revisions.
