i hatched an egg a little over a week ago. The chick (cutest little thing) has black skin but only 1 foot has the extra toe. Does this mean it is a mix breed?

It isn't that unusual for a 5 toed breed to only have 4 toes on a foot. Even 6 (or more) toes on a foot can happen as well. If you're showing or breeding to the standard it isn't something you want, but if they're just pets it doesn't matter.

Thank you everyone!
Reason for 1 chick...I had my young silkie hen get broody right after she first started laying. Her eggs were not developing so I picked up eggs from the lady who sold her to me. She had by this time put all her different colored silkies and one small hen together for the winter. I put 3 under the hen and two in the incubator. The eggs under her never developed and I cracked one of the eggs going into the incubator. Luckily one hatched and I gave her the chick the same day. She is now very happy!
