I also grabbed 6 from TSC..3 White (amberlinks) and 3 (NH reds) and you are right..not too friendly! but very smart and curious..So sorry you lost the breeds you were looking forward to..I also am not sure how I will replace the ones I lost as well..Did the many many months of research UGH! I lost my Jersey Giant, Speckled Sussex, EasterEgger, and a Barred Rock.

Yeah, the silver seabright croaked. I e-mailed MPC. They do have a 100% live chick guarentee. It wasn't standing when I got it and now it is a gonner. The rest look good though. (I should have tried tossing it hard boiled egg bits.) It looked like it was constantly tipping over and that is when I realizes it couldn't walk or stand. I mean they are marshmallow sized at best. 6/7 is good though. I am hoping they credit me ( although i don't think I'll be ordering from them for a while. Not b/c of service, but I got a Brinsea and want to try hatching my own from breeders.)

The light brahma is a fat chick even at a day old and is boss!

eta: Sorry about your sebright. I ordered a golden one for my late Feb. order, but received a substitution. In hindsight that was probably best. I think those tiny things are just pretty frail when they're wee babes.
