I am going to be raising a batch of meat chickens for the fist time. I think I am going to do non-cornish cross due to the heat and lack of experience. I have seen people discuss the FR chickens on here allot. Has anyone tried any of the other types? Like: Kosher Kings? KD-22's (I think that is thier name sould by a hatchery in moyers town PA) Slow growing Cornish Cross or any other meat bird? It seems these others are cheaper than the FR. Are you getting what you pay for with these other ones? Do they have the same meat qualities as the FR? Does anyone have any photos of these birds or any of the these kind of birds processed? THank you I only have about 1,000 more questions to ask!
