Question on which breed I should choose?

Well I have BO's, Pymouth Rocks, RIRs, and one Turken. They are all great. The BO's are far more friendly though than the others. Out of 3 RIR's, 3 Plymouth Rocks, 2 Buffs, and 1 turken I get 6-8 eggs a day every day of the week. I have 2 buffs sitting on eggs, one with chicks and one waiting on chicks. Before I got them to go broody I was getting 9 - 11 a day.

So all good layers but the BO's are more friendly.

i LOVE my BOs! they are beautiful and fluffy and SO SO SO SOFT. so far, all 3 of my 7 month old hatchery Orps have gone broody in the past month. one is diligently sitting on eggs that should hatch sometime between now and tomorrow.

as the others said, i don't care for the hybrids. so the choice would be super easy for me! BOs ALL THE WAY!

My Buff is super friendly and the cutest of all my hens. I vote for Buff Orpingtons, at least some of them in a flock.

I am going to pick up 2 of the buffs thanks to your wonderful advice. I pick them up Saturday at 9am.
