Question Please??

I hatched in the turner last time, as suggested by Alex, worked just fine as dandelion wine. had used cartons prior too. exactly like JJ says too, upright is the key...

Do the eggs need to be upright when set in the incubator? The only experience I've had with setting eggs is with chickens and they were always set point down into trays, but I've heard of some people who lay the quail eggs on their side during the incubation and still have a high hatch rate. What do you think would be best?

I and many others have them in trays from set to hatch... It works great. Laying on there side will work too, and many do. Give putting them in a carton from start to finish a try, makes life easier when turning too. If ya dont have a turner that is. You can prop up the egg tray on one side and then just spin the whole tray 180 degs, all your eggs are then turned. Good luck, Bill
