So for these 2 breeds (Khakis and Buff ducks), I wanted to ask a bit more about how do you tell them apart?

It kind of looks like buffs might be Khakis with a bit of other stuff like peking in them? Or am I wrong? It looks hard to tell on this.

Either way they look a bit hard to tell apart from pictures. I think I do have buffs, and not the other kind.

*Are their eyes and eye colors the same?* This part I really wanted to ask about, because I can see the eyes on my pekings are totally different from the buff duck eyes. So I wanted to ask also *do most breeds have significantly different eye colors?*

Today also 2 little ducklings were fighting over a wood chip in their pen. LOL. So funny. And they got really excited and were running around when I put them back in the bigger small pool (after washing it).

Also a duck egg question...

Today I was thinking about humidity a bit in the role of eggs with comparing it to wood and lumber. With lumber if you ship wood from a wetland zone (or high humidity area) to a dry area the wood will warp and damage quite easily. This thought, made me wonder if its the same for poultry eggs?

And if that's the case, its possible that ordering eggs from a dry area to another dry area might be less problematic than ordering eggs (through the mail) from a wetland area (or higher humidity) and sending them to a dry area?

This is interesting to think about right?

Curious what you will think.

Also, here's some duck pics.
