I lost a chicken today and I don’t know why. She was acting weird for over a week, she looked fat or fluffy and just wasn’t herself. I did some research and thought she was egg bound so I treated her for that and it turned out she wasn’t. I also thought she had fluid in her crop but it didn’t feel like it. So she was alive we I went out this morning and while tending to them I turned around and she was gone. I haven’t a clue what was wrong.

Sorry you lost her. How long had she not been laying normally for? She may have been laying internally.

So sad you lost her. Unfortunately you really can't tell why she died without a necropsy.
