Hi everyone! I have a question im hoping you can help with. Below is one of my chickens first two picturea last week, third one today. Can anyone help me? I treated with elector psp last week and sprayed the run, changed the bedding and sprayed the coop. A friend told me it was possibly mites. I treated all 11 girls- I didnt see anyone with any mites, but treated anyways. This girl still has thins bald spot and today one of her tailfeathers is bloody. Doninre treat her, is she getting picked on? She laid yesterday and is eating and drinking

It looks like another chicken is picking out her feathers. Do you have a rooster? Have you actually seen any mites, lice or their eggs on the skin under the vent and elsewhere? https://the-chicken-chick.com/poultry-lice-and-mites-identification/

Here is another thread about possible feather picking that you may want to read:

No my husband and i treated every chicken and never saw anything, on vent under winds etc

I would suspect that they may be bored or not getting enough protein in their diet. Do they get out to free range daily? What are you feeding? They need at least 16-20% protein in a balanced feed, either layer or all flock. If they get too many extras that might be diluting the amount of protein in the diet. Is she the only one with missing feathers?

They dont right now because we have so much snow and its freezing! She is the only obe missing feathers! I feed them kalmbach crumbles and mix in hen house reserve. Give them a fruit and nut mix for snack
