Sometimes a broody hen will take on chicks she didn't hatch-but even this is rare.
To get a non-broody hen to start caring for chicks-no I don't believe that's possible.

I would say only if you have a broody that has ones about the same age. If you do slip them under her at night. If not then I guess you will have to be the broodie, if you try to put babies with a hen that is not broodie, she will pick them and if they can not get away from her, you wont have to worry about raising them.
