Questions about Bantams....Pics added

I think the majority of those chicks are probably crosses, and not pure bred. The ones with the dark legs almost certainly have some Silkie in them.

Generally bantams are quite small. Especially true bantams like Seramas (true meaning a breed that doesn't have a large fowl counterpart). Do you have a picture of them with something to compare their size to. They look kind of big to me. They may even be bantam x large fowl. I know my OEGB, Nankins, and d' Anvers stayed very small. The Sumatras and the Black Australorps got a bit bigger.

It would be about impossible to tell by looking at them if they were pure bred or not. The third one in the first post does look like a bbred OEGB, but it's hard to say. I don't think the other is a red pyle, it has too much red on its neck imo. Mine were almost totally white until they were about 3 months old.

2 of those were totally white til they were past 2 months old...only the bb red one was chipmunky as a chick. Same with the new 13 chicks...they were as tiny as day olds as the first 3 and most of them were white. I would agree that I probably have a bunch of mixed mutts.

Heres a few comparison pics. The bb red is the same size as the other two in the first pics and they are all 3 months old. The 13 chicks are 5-6 weeks old.

Hi Deborah, If you got them from Ideal then they havee a lot of different colors of old english game bantams. They are probably some of those colors. You will probably be able to tell when they get a bit older.

That white chick in the second to last picture seems to have poofy cheeks, so it has a beard and those slightly feathered feet. I would say you got maybe a sultan cross or something in that direction.

The first pics in the one you said looks like a chipmunk i think that could be a crele oegb.
The whites with yellow necks could be red pyle hens oegb
The white with the bard look to it feathers could be barred oegb
