Will a bronze Breasted Tom Breed with a Blue Slate hen?? my friend has all toms and when we went to an auction they had a pair of Blue Slates so she just wanted the tom i told her we would take the hen, so now we have the bronze and her in the same pen..

I raised Bronze Breasted turkeys many years ago! One very important thing that I learned to do when raising turkeys.........Select the largest hens to breed with smaller toms. This breeding technique allows for less torn backs on the hen turkeys each mating season!

Edit to say...Yes, the two color varieties can cross!

YEAAAA!!! any idea of what colors can be produced??and the hen is fairly large

Slates if pure black based with a single dilute gene. Black based is dominate over bronzed based. You poults should look
slate. They might have a few bronze feathers mixed in.
