Never mind. I clicked on the pics and now I see saddle feathers. I agree with Chickin Pickin who suggested that he may be over melanized. I'm sure despite that, he'll still be a handsome guy when he's fully grown. Give him time to grow a bit more, fill out, grow some sickle feathers in his tail... He'll still be very good-looking, even if he is very dark.

I'm worried that he has a wry tail....it likes to go to the side but will be straight sometimes and is straight when he roosts.
