Questions About My Turkeys

Hello, we have 5 turkeys. They sort of live in a pen with two bantam roosters. Also too, some of my other chickens go in and out of there during the day. I have just recently started leaving the door open all the time so that they could come and go as they please. Before I would let them out during the day and sometimes leave the door open and close the door at night. Two of them had Infectious Synovitis and now I think two others got it as well. It rained where I live for several days and then turned cold. I'm not sure if the other two got it from being out in the rain and cold or from sleeping so close together at night. I'm about to start giving them 1 tbsp. of Tetroxy in a gallon container again. I gave them this before. Should I give them Tetroxy, Duramycin, or would something else work best? Or could it be some other respiratory disease?

My second question is that around where they sleep is a dark reddish brown looking poop that is solid when I see it. Does anyone know what this means?

Also, in the past I have seen yellow colored droppings? What does this mean?

Thank you for your help.

I read the previous threads (problems started in Sept., yes?) https://www.backyardchickens.com/forums/posts/by_user/id/285486/page/20 Did you, by any chance, treat with Tylan as was recommended by another member? This would probably offer symptomatic relief.

How "crowded" together are your birds when cooped? Is the coop clean and well ventilated? Worming the entire flock with Safe Guard (or any appropriated product containing Fenbendazole/Albendazole) is probably not a bad idea. What constitutes their regular feed ration?

I'd separate out the chooks from the turks and thoroughly clean everything/replace all bedding. I'd then take fecal sample into a vet (to examine for evidence of internal parasites).

Thank you for answering my questions. They live in an open top pen with dirt no bedding except in 1 out of 2 dog houses that I have for them in the pen. I feed them scratch feed with bread sometimes if we have it every day and a lot of times different scraps. No, I didn't try the Tylan.

What is Safegaurd and what does it do?

What is Tylan and what does it do?

How do you give the Safeguard? How do you give the Tylan and what dosage do I need to get? How much do you know how to give each one of them?

Where do you get the Safe Guard I would need? Also, would it be a bad idea to give them the Tetroxy or Duramycin?

Thank you for your help and for answering my questions.

Hiw much Safe Guard would I need to give them? Is it safe to give to them? Because I looked it up and it said to give to growing turkeys but mine are full grown.

Thank you.
