QUESTIONS ABOUT NEW COOPS

Nope, that sounds about right! It's actually cheap if they were older than a week. Search for a chicken swap or chickenstock in your area on this forum. They are all listed here https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewforum.php?id=8 but you can use the search function as well. that would be a great way to meet other people with chickens and to sell your own. You might even end up coming home with more

. Buffs are great! I have Wyandottes, which are also large dual purpose birds, and they are sooo sweet! Very laid back, and they will climb right up onto my lap to cuddle! You never know, you may want to keep a rooster, as long as your neighbors don't object. Mine certainly would, I'm in a city and very tight quarters!
