Questions About Our Cockerel

We have a 2 month old red Frizzle Cochin Bantam cockerel named Mr. Frizz and I would like to know when he'll start crowing so we can put our no crow collar on him once he starts.

Also, is it normal for young cockerels to be scared of humans before rooster behavior kicks in? He was held a bunch when smaller so he shouldn't run from me but he does.
I heard some chicks raised by hens naturally seem a bit wild and don't really trust humans but Mouse always brought them to me whenever I was outside.

Should I be worried when he starts trying to breed our hens as most of the hens are standard size? They already peck him whenever he's nearby but nothing too serious. More like pecking order pecking.

When should he have spurs grown?
I need to know so I don't accidentally get hurt.

Huge thanks in advance!
I will also post photos of him if anyone wants me to! :)

If he's going to crow it will be when his hormones start surging, it's a bit early for that now. Some will crow a lot, some not so much, and occasionally you will get one that seldom or never crows. Be careful using the collar, some have had them choke while wearing it.
In my humble opinion, a cockerel that gives you space is a good cockerel. "Friendly" cockerels will often become aggressive as they mature. Those that give you space are giving you respect as the dominant one, those in my experience turn out the be the best roo's.
You will see when his spurs begin to grow, it's a slow process so you will have plenty of notice. I just trim my roo's spurs when needed and keep them blunt, which also reduces risk of injury to the hens.
I only have large fowl, so can't speak from experience of having a smaller cockerel with larger hens. I would imagine the mechanics may be more challenging, and I'd keep an eye to make sure they don't attack or hurt him, he's always going to be smaller, but he's very small now.

I'm hoping for seldom crowing. We've used the collars before so we know how to put it on correctly :) but thanks for saying that!
I hope so! I don't want to have to be careful around him unless I need to.
Any advice on trimming them?
