questions about raising raising emus

They can be kept in a small space (like a rabbit hutch). They only need 1 square foot of space per individual. They are very tame if you play with them lots as babies. They hatch in 18 days or less, and mature and start to lay at 6 to 8 weeks. The hens lay an egg per day.

You would be able to make money off of Quail, if you were interested. They lay eggs often enough that if you don't want to eat them, you can sell them to other people as hatching eggs for $10/dozen. It adds up fast! They are awesome birds.

very cool so were did you buy your eggs and what incubators do you recomend
I bought my eggs from someone local. Local people will sell a dozen eggs to you for very cheap. You can buy a dozen, or half a dozen (Depending on how many you want. Expect only half to hatch out).
You'll need to do your research, so make sure you know how to look after quail and hatch them! It's not super hard.
I recommend the Brinsea Mini Advance incubator. It is small, suitable for about 12 quail eggs, and fairly cheap.
If your parents are really smart and helpful, and good at building their own things, you could also look into making your own "DIY Styrofoam Incubator".
