I am considering getting some chickens but I have just a few questions.
I work an afternoon shift so I don't wake up until 10am or so....if I couldn't let my chickens out until that time and then have to coop them back up at about 3pm, would they be super unhappy? I was thinking about geting a coop that has an attached run that they could go to any time they like.
Also, how much damage do they do to a lawn over the course of a few days? I was thinking of getting a coop and run that I could move around my lawn. However, my boyfriend would not be happy if they turned the lawn into a huge dustbowl. :)
I just want to make sure I have happy chickens.
Thanks so much!

you could buy an automatic door opener/closer all it does is you set the times you want it to open and close and it will do some, moving around there coop/run shouldn't be a problem as long as you dont let them strip it down to bare, they should go around 4 days before they start trying to tear up the place well thats with my chickens anyway! hope this helps
