Quick egg question

We have free-ranging hens. We found a clutch of 20 or so eggs in a hidden location. Not sure how long they have been there.

Is it safe to collect and do the float test or should be just toss them?

If they float, they're bad, right?

I'd toss them. Yes, if they float they're bad.

Yes, floaters are bad. If they sink to the bottom they are good. Somewhere in the middle is questionable. (Dog food)
