My 6 old ladies are free ranging and I wondered if I could let the 2 week old chicks explore the coop a little bit. It's sunny and 83 F , the coop is secure and we are all in the backyard

No problem! All those wild chickens there have their babies running all over the place with no problems, so why not yours? It's plenty warm enough for them. Let them out and let them have fun! Watch them take off and fly!

Whoops. I just noticed you said you're going to let the chicks out in the COOP. Why not pen up the older hens for a little while, and let the babies out to explore? I do this with my chicks when they're two weeks old and the weather is in the 70s. They would have a ball!
