I've bred full siblings without much issue, you just don't want to breed their offspring for too long, otherwise you can run into fertility issues, & probably some deformities. It would be pretty dang close to fine. Better than fully related siblings
About how many generations do you think would be completely safeI've bred full siblings without much issue, you just don't want to breed their offspring for too long, otherwise you can run into fertility issues, & probably some deformities.
Probably no more then 2, 3 at most.About how many generations do you think would be completely safe
Ok great! I'm waiting until spring so I can brood outside, my coop has electricity but it's still probably better to wait, I'm also hoping to have a bigger incubator so I can do more than 8 eggs at a time, i have my eyes on one at my feed store so maybeThis will be interesting to watch. I don't breed or hatch (yet), and I find the technical discussions of genetics impossible to follow. I just want to SEE outcomes. I know this will be ling term but do hope to follow.
