Bantam, miniature chicken. Most bantams have full sized counterpart (ie bantam and large Old English, bantam and large Orpingtons) and are about 1/5 the size of their larger look-alikes.

The feed store I buy my pullets at also sells bantams... However, they are not gender specific, and sometimes not even breed specific.... the pullets I buy are nicely labeled and organized, and bantams they sell, are usually just in a bucket labeled "Straight run assorted bantams"

But as for the size, it depends on the breed... they are all still very tiny, less than 4 inches, but I bought more baby chicks a week ago, and they were all day old, however, the buff orpington I got is almost twice as big as the rest, and the White Rock grew fast too... the rest are all different breeds, and still quite small...

I think the more pressing issue though, is how long you're keeping them in this brooder? Because if they will be in there for more than two weeks, they grow SUPER fast, and by a week or two will no longer be the tiny little fuzzballs they were when you bought them, so build according to their quick growth!
