I am working on another revision of The Chick Chart (thechickchart.com) and was just looking for opinions on whether or not it should be web based.
Any comments of features you would like added would be much appreciated!
INTERNET:
Pros:
*Easier to manage
*Everyone gets updates at once
*Compatibale with ALL computers
*Easier to back up
*May be easier to use
*Easier support
Cons:
*If one server goes out, even with backups, some data will be lost.
*No sense of 'Owning' the program
CD VERSION
Pros:
*You get physical pieces for what you purchase
*May be easier for some to use
*Data for everyone may be safer, but if your computer crashes, you are up a creek!
Cons:
*Very hard to update
*Not as good customer support
*Compatibility? Or should I say LACK THEREOF?
