Ibecella, good job on the rabbits. I'm proud of you! I still have trouble killing mine, but they taste soooo good! For meat, I like them better than the chickens.
Also, you really should look into rent-to-own. My fiance and I are doing that on our awesome place after the current owner finishes getting it platted and sub-divided. (We will have 35 acres out of the current 100). She knows the market is tough and there and a lot of properties in the area have been sitting empty, so she's more than happy to swing a deal and finance it if it means guaranteed buyers. I think a lot of people trying to sell are in that situation right now, especially in more rural areas. It's worth asking about owner financing on ANY property to see for sale that you feel confident you can afford.
