I have looked everywhere for commercial grade sand. The best I can find is Quikrete All-Purpose Sand. It is more course than play sand. Will this work for my run?

It was definitely pretty coarse. It has some little rocks in it as well.thanks @black_cat --- sadly it will cost a fortune more, but the only thing I seem to be able to find near me with the correct texture. Was it a pretty good mix on the particle size? Did it have to much dusty/fine particles?
Cool, coarse is what we need after all... thanks! It was definitely pretty coarse. It has some little rocks in it as well.
Ah, I think that some stone yards I looked at for river sand had that, I will check it outUse concrete sand. Any stone yard will have it. It’s the same thing they use under patio pavers. As a mix of smalll pebbles and coarse sand. Chooks can use it as grit.
Also, newbie here, and I keep seeing people say "chooks" - is that just slang for chickens or something specific?Use concrete sand. Any stone yard will have it. It’s the same thing they use under patio pavers. As a mix of smalll pebbles and coarse sand. Chooks can use it as grit.
