Quilt Block Swap! All blocks have been mailed!

I got mine today too.

I was very upset. The flat rate priority envelope was triple bagged in plastic clear baggies. The outside bag said (to the effect of) Your package was damaged. We hope it didn't inconvenience you. So sorry." It was obvious the envelope got wet. It was soft and soggy feeling.

My heart just dropped. I told my husband about the women on BYC who worked so hard for this swap and all the hard work ruined. I was so upset he got me a glass of wine and told me to drink up before I went further. (I rarely drink)

So I opened the baggies carefully. The priority envelope was wet. The blocks are wet. It smells like water, and I have them on my sweater insert in the dryer. Hopefully no mildew formed.
They don't seem stained and the PO got an email saying it was indeed an inconvenience. If it was anything but this......

I will keep you posted.

terrielacy, I'm so sorry. I don't understand how that could happen. Someone at the PO was not being careful, again. If you wash them and they don't come clean I can send extra's also.

I think they will be ok. Since they are all prewashed, once I have the quilt done, I will put it through a gentle cycle to get any residual puddle cooties out.
