OK, I have bought my material.. I think.lol I found a wonderful chicken themed material that I plan on cuting 4 1/2 " squares for the center of the clock. I will make sure the chicken is centered so that you get a whole chicken and not just a chicken butt..lol Then I found a country themed material that has hearts, plads and other country shapes. Those are going to be the top, bottom, and both sideds. The colors work well with the chicken material. Then I bought a plain dark green and dark red material to be alternate corners. It will have a nice mix of color and design along with being in the country theme. I cant wait!! Jenn

Just a reminder -

Fabrics should be 100% cotton.

Try to stay with a calico fabric.

All fabric should be washed before you start making your blocks to allow for shrinkage.

MP there is no cotton batting I have seen here...just the polyester >>>???

I keep seeing ideas and suggestions that are way to hard for a never quilted before and I think I'm going to go ahead and bow out. I don't even know what some of you are talking about! I'll get a book or something and read up on it and try next time maybe.
