ohhhhhhIt's too depressing, it's like failure in fabric, I'll never finish it, it's a shame you people don't live nearby, I could hand it on to somebody to finish. It's an amish churn dash style pattern.

The flash makes it look brighter than it is in real life. It's not really meant to be colourful. The amish have plain things, just "sneak in" some colour (apparently, according to the information when I picked out the quilt to do from a book)like lots of color.
I think it is very pretty and I think you should finish it. Oh your in your summer, as we are in our winter, I'll gladly swap!!! What is your winter weather like? So, this is the quilt I started. Somebody suggested stitching it like that. Then I did the plain blue squares with squares. Couldn't really decide how it should be done. Thought it looked horrible, blah blah blah.
I could do some when it cools down again, if I could convince my dog and one of my cats to stay away and not leap on it when I pick it up. Yeh, fat chance![]()

Very mild (the coldest it would ever get, in the middle of the night, is about 5C), and as I've gotten older, I don't feel the cold at all, I don't think I even got the doona out last winter, I just use a light quilt when it's chilly at night. I wish I lived in Scandinavia or Minnesota or somewhere all snowy (but then, you'd have central heating, so you still wouldn't want to be stuck under a quilt. What is your winter weather like?
