YOu must live near the city.

If so,.....that's a bummer. We have a 12x12 coop that's about 8 feet tall and 1/2 an acre fenced in for our chickens, turkeys, ducks, & guineas. I guess its a good thing beings I have 3 broody hens and my female duck is broody too.

never saw all this coming, but I can say.....we are prepared.

Sooo better safe than sorry.

I hope to fence my entire back yard which will be about an acre or so eventually so they can free range in safety for a while.

Great tractor. I built my hen 8 foot x 10 x 10 run out of PVC and chicken wire five years ago and this year we finally changed it out with a permanent run. I used those PVC furniture connectors for the corners and Ts. Also, run a wire from the bottom sides of the door opening to hold the frame together.
From experience, may I suggest that you stake it to the ground or weight it down with cinder blocks. The wind can toss these around like lawn furniture and a dog can easily nose his way under to get inside and cause havoc. Our bull thought the pen was made for him to scratch his neck and caused some damage too.

Let's see $80 bucks divided by 5 years = $16 a year....that's not a bad average and leaves lots of bucks for fabric!

Thanks Nanakat! Five years! WHOOT! lol I am going to make or get some U shaped stakes to hold it to the ground and then tie them to the run with twine or something, that way they are always there, I can use the string to pull them up and I won't be losing them!

They LOVE all the extra space they have now!
