Quit smoking today, anyone feelin my grrrr?

Cheri222 when I quit I used Zyban (Wellbutrin) and lost weight, but I hesitate to recommend it as I understand now that there can be bad side effects like stroke. I too was very afraid of gaining weight but the Zyban made it easy to pay attention to my diet helped. I also didn't drink any alcohol at all. Anyway it's good to talk to your doctor about it. Good luck!

I am VERY competitive

Hang in there the painful knot in your stomach will let up after a day or two then you just have that nagging thing that seems to linger. I quit mostly by convincing myself that I was no longer a smoker. It worked for me and I have not smoked for about 15 years. They are addicting nasty little things so hang tough.

I hope you ae doing well.

Thanks everyone, it's the start of day 3 for me. Talk about grrr...I went to get online last night and my internet service was all messed up. I was ready to break something!
Oddly enough, with all the stress I am going through right now, I find myself wanting to cry more than grrr the last 24hrs. sick hen, negative funds in the bank, lots of bills due and we are going out of town this evening for 4 days. A trip we are already financially tied into, but can't afford to do. I am worried about leaving my sick hen. I can't get her to eat and I am afraid she may pass while we are gone. If she is still with us when I get back sunday I have a treatment plan lined up for her.

kinda wierd, a treatment plan for an unknown illness. I don't know, things are just crazy. Had to call yesterday and cancel the automatic payments that go through my account, poor lady at state farm had to deal with a sobbing mess after she asked me when I could pay it. My husband works construction and hasn't worked for 2 weeks, just as I was getting caught up from the last lay off. How is it that everything gets more expensive if there are no jobs and people are getting laid off and pay cuts.
anyway, except for when I am sobbing, I can already smell better. I could smell the crappy air freshener I have in my car yesterday.

And I haven't drank any alcohol yet, will be doing that this weekend on our trip, I know that will be wierd without smoking. But we are camping so it's not like we will have a corner store right around the bend to go get some, ya know. And we REALLY cant afford it. At this point it's smoke or eat. I guess I choose to eat, even though my anxiety and maybe this patch are keeping my hunger away. I don't think I will be gaining any weight from quitting, not until my anxiety goes away cause I just don't feel hungry.

k, thanks everyone for your good thoughts and I am beginning day 3 with a good outlook even though I am crying like a pregnant lady. lol

whoo hooo--great job on day making it to day 3!!!!!!!
