I would congradulate anyone that stops. I smoked for about 30 years and went smoke free 5 years ago. It was my health and I just stopped, no planning or cutting back. I finished off my last pack and went straight to the store for patches. It wasn't to bad for me and I hear that trying to quit is even harder than trying to stop taking drugs. I was lucky I didn't have a smoker in my house and I went through alot of dum dum suckers lol. Smoking is more of a oral fixaction than anything. Drinking alot of water helps too. I didn't gain much about 10 lbs I guess. But since I quit I haven't been sick much either and I don't catch cold as often. There has been times when I have been under stress I kill for a cigerette, but I never had another one and I have been smoke free for 5 years now. Isn't it nice when ya go to the Drs. and they ask do you smoke and you can actually say no and don't have to hear the lectures. I am not a rabid anti smoker and I don't harp on those who do. It is alot easier now cause so many places are smoke free.
