Mother Nature has been watering them off and on ever since. forecast for more rain this afternoon and evening as well. and chickens! I feel like once you live in an area without the restrictions you never want to look back. Almost like you can't imagine how you lived with them in the first place. I hope you two can make that change together and I believe you're right, that it would only benefit the grandchildren to experience that.
 
Well I definitely know that's where I get my work ethic, watching my grandpa every weekend and spending time on his farm in the summer. Watching this small frail man bust his butt every moment of the day for many years, without fail, until he passed in 86. My grandson at 4 years old already loves helping me with chores and fixing things around the house. He says, "Poppy we good men, we fix everything for grandma, we work."
 
I grew up in a small suburb. I don't come from a long line of farmers and neither does my fiance. He actually grew up in the same suburb, but his family had a more secluded lot on the other end of town. I discovered my need for more air when I was about 9. I started riding lessons and in return for more riding time I volunteered my own time. It kind of escalated from there. I stayed and moved up the totem pole until after college. I couldn't even begin to describe the lessons I learned on the farm. Then I had to move on, but was fortunate enough to reconnect with my now fiance and the rest is history.
