How do you plan to know when to harvest?  Will you be doing trial and error or do you already know how to tell when it's ready?  This will be our third year planting corn and we are 0 for 2 so far :lau

I usually open one a little bit and prick one of the kernels and see if the liquid is clear or milky. Clear and its ready to pick.

Our first attempt was just bad. The corn itself didn't grow right and tasted awful. Last year we were about 2 weeks overdue. Thanks for the tip, maybe three is a charm :)
 
Hey Shannon, I see where you have the big day picked out, how wonderful for you two!

Are you going to be able to plant your garden today or do you have to wait for things to dry out?
