Beautiful, I can hear that screechy sound now. We have elk too, and it's interesting how such a small animal only makes a small sound, at least to me. A cow makes louder noises. :) But, it's unique. When you hear it, you know what is making it. Beautiful photos. Remind me again where you live.
 
We are in Utah..got these photos last yr. or yr. before..can't remember. Keep saying we need to go get those fall photos this yr. This canyon is only just up a few miles from us after all.

I hope I'm not repeating myself here. I posted these already..somewhere on BYC. :/
