A few years ago we had a robbery and attempted murder just TWO doors down from us!! It was incredibly scary trying to sleep that night since the man had not been caught yet.

I know how you feel. I hate that when I look at the news it's always "another bombing" "another stabbing" "another shooting," when I wish there wouldn't be any at all! This world just needs Jesus.

About 2 years or so ago, when we were in S.A. still there was a farm murder no more than a few miles from us. I can't remember how many people got killed. The cops got called and they chased the killers, set their dogs on one and had a shootout no more than 60 yards from our house. It's different hearing about these things and then they happen so close to you… It suddenly feels VERY real.

Quick update, it's been almost 24 hours now, and the shooter hasn't been found yet. Unfortunately, it's possible he may be in Canada. That's the bad thing about living so close to the border.

I just read the whole article. I am so sorry, I have started to see so many of the wonderful people here as a second family, and it is hard to watch when they are going through hard times. I am thinking about you constantly and praying to stay safe.:fl

So sorry this is happening so close to you. Good grief, just came from a thread where a person is asking how long eggs can be in the bator without power. It's been 3 hrs. They have a car adaptor/plug, but, just after the power went out, they heard gun shots, so they aren't going to step a foot outside! What is happening to our beautiful world? I'm glad that I can believe that there are still more good people in the world than bad..really I do. We sure hear about all of the bad though. And, it is sad that the things that happen today aren't just in the big city, but right in our own neighborhoods.
Praying that all settles down in your area Brent!
