Quotes and Thoughts for the Day

Just a break in my b-day action and had to jump on. My BF & I went for a drive, one of our favorite ones for seeing eagles and coyotes. So we walked out our door and this is what was in the front of our house on the telephone pole.

I definitely feel blessed again for having seen an eagle on my birthday, two years in a row now. I walked away from a very ugly relationship into a leap of faith with not only my heart and in my passion, my birthday was two months after that decision last year when I was blessed with my birthday visitors. Then again today and numerous times in between and I can't help but feel like not only did find my soul mate, I found my way home. It has been a very difficult climb from where I was but couldn't have asked for a better way to be rewarded for taking that risk and leap of faith. It has been a very spiritual journey.
Meant to be part of your journey

I gave Crow to my Dad for Father's Day several years ago, he loved that thing as soon as he saw it at a farmer's market. Dad passed away in '10 and now Crow's back to me. Crow always makes me see Dad's funny smile.
awww how sweet

I handled Uncle Ralph's passing quite well today until I told my DD after school. I have been a blubbering mess ever since. She reminded me of my cousins passing in the same family.
Your stories help improve things.

Nope, Crow's made out of old garden/farm tools. Shovel, cultivators, etc.:
Oh I'm such a butt...

So cool you are seeing Eagles so close to home. Seems they are saying best wishes for the coming year!

"God gave us memories that we might have roses in December."

"You must have been warned against letting the golden hours slip by. Yes, but some of them are golden only because we let them slip."

@chickwhispers what your website about/for?

OK but I'm going to give you the long version.
It started out 2 years ago as a cheap website to get the word out about selling my eggs. Then last year I upgraded a bit to add an online shop with vintage stuff antiques used quality furniture decorating etc stuff and a blog but I had to hurry up and get the run complete so I could go to Vegas help my brother pack up my mom and bring her back to Detroit. It took up most of my summer and I spent the fall putting the finishing touches on the run. I tried to get things going but well you know how the holidays and other commitments go. So when my renewal came up for the web i knew i had better get my rear in gear but still lacked enthusiasim. Until Don's mom passed away the day after Chrstmas. I know I should know that life is too short but I needed a reminder I guess. Then when I saw this thread it was wonderful indpiration to go a step farther. I'll just say i've had more than my share of negativity and let it go at that. But here everyone is so positive even when they're struggling. So because of this thread I have added a Quote of the Day page. I use my own pictures so I don't have to worry about copyright for commercial use. So that's why you see the afrenchhen in the corner of my quote pics. Right now I am in the process of going through the inventory stuff to get pictures and do ascriptions etc for the online shop. It's taking forever! But I hope by the end of next week to have a bunch listed.
OK long version over. Thanks for asking. My website link is in my signature if anyone would care to take a look and pm me with what ever feed back you have. Good or not so good I'm open to comments to make it the best I can. Thanks for letting me carry on.
So I only have one quote tonight I'm at work and on my phone if it doesn't get lost in cyber space...
