Retirement IS awesome but I'm busier now than when I worked a 'regular' job. Of course, it's mostly stuff I like doing so that's just fine

x2 @sumi , hoping this is the deal that gets you off to Ireland! Then next year for St. Patrick's Day, we'll all come to your place to celebrate (and bring our work clothes and hammers of course).

We got them last year and they've been bred 2 times (3rd time is coming soon). So far we've had good success selling most of them. DH has processed a few of them for us, but I'd rather sell them than eat them. DH doesn't have a lot of time what with the job he is working so it's easier to just sell them. The adults don't eat too much (they get garden greens as part of their daily diet) but those babies eat a ton of feed because they are growing so fast. I think rabbits are easier than chickens, they don't take up a lot of space and are really quiet. But as far as personality...give me a chicken any day, lol.

hey thanks NFC. I was thinking about getting some rabbits to raise for food.. Trying to get to a point where I'm self sustainable for food then the next step will be to go off the grid..

That's where we're trying to get to also. It's not easy but we've made a pretty big dent just in our food bills with the gardens, rabbits & eggs.

That's really me but I'm not riding it. It was done with that software that you cut and paste your picture into. I have rode a camel at the zoo in Sanford, fl when I lived down there. It's like riding a horse but its a rough ride.
