Ooh I think goats are as good as dogs!! We hand reared a goat at the yard where I keep the horse and it became just like a dog. Ran around and played with the dogs as if it was one. But then again it knew nothing else as it was an only goat. Good luck with the babies hope you have them soon and you can post pics

I'll send out the "birth announcement" when the little mama has them. She's HUGE so we're hoping for twins. She's due next week but seems to be showing signs early. I'll definitely share a photo of the baby/babies!

@NorthFLChick Debby, picked out a few cards for Larry! That is how flippin far behind I am, readin about your horses b-day. I love it!

I know this is a dog and not a horse, but this one made me LOL.

Just so no one thinks I'm a horse thief, Harry belongs to Yorkshire coop. She's the lucky one to have the horse. I'm the lucky one to have chickens, rabbits and goats, lol. Oh, and DH of course!

Hi all, just doing a fly-by. We got some news on the farm selling front. One of our very interested buyers are finally in a position to buy our place, but wants to come have another look tomorrow. They've been twice already. Please keep your fingers crossed everyone.
Fingers crossed!

We had a nanny when my kids were still home and she thought she was a dog. I would put her on a leash and we'd go for walks on the mountain trial above our home. The dogs came along too.

she rode in a car better than a dog.

NorthFLChick. how is it raising rabbits? was thinkin about gettin some

Meat rabbits are pretty easy. We have 2 breeding pairs, New Zealand and Californians. We got them last year and they've been bred 2 times (3rd time is coming soon). So far we've had good success selling most of them. DH has processed a few of them for us, but I'd rather sell them than eat them. DH doesn't have a lot of time what with the job he is working so it's easier to just sell them. The adults don't eat too much (they get garden greens as part of their daily diet) but those babies eat a ton of feed because they are growing so fast. I think rabbits are easier than chickens, they don't take up a lot of space and are really quiet. But as far as personality...give me a chicken any day, lol.
