Our good garden news was that the beans the rabbits chewed on are trying to make a comeback and the watermelon vines are getting buds on them. The berries on the blueberry bushes are getting a bluish tint to them and the blackberry bushes are covered with green berries. On the other hand, the tomatoes seem to be having a hard time growing and a few stinkbugs have already made an appearance on the squash. That's gardening for you, all ups and downs.

Do you use anything to keep the bugs at bay? Here's a tip from the old farmers almanac, get a pack of chewing tobacco and put it in a gallon of water and let it soak for an hour or so then strain it off into a spray bottle and apply it to the plants. They say it will keep the bugs off. Better then 7 dust because its natural. :)

Yesterday I mentioned I was lucky my SO can tolerate corny jokes...he found payback. He's been calling me his oompa loompa since last night. We can never attempt to watch the old Willy Wonka ever again
